In 1984 Peter and Lyn Serventy established the first organic vineyard in Western Australia situated in a beautiful wooded valley south of Witchcliffe in the Margaret River region.

The property extends to over 127 acres (51 hectares) of which approximately 6 hectares is planted to vines.

The cuttings used for the original plantings came from the neighbouring Leeuwin Estate.  Today Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay rates amongst the top seven wines in Australia by Langton's Auction House and was recently voted the "World's Best Chardonnay". This goes someway to justifying the continuing investment in an area recognised for producing some of the premium wines of the world.

Further plantings of Shiraz and Pinot Noir  have increased the capacity and range of wines. The Chardonnay ,Pinot Noir and Shiraz are now "old growth" vines and producing the finest fruit for our varietal and sparking wines.

New plantings of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Viognier will compliment the range even further.
